Platform Availability

AngenAI runs as both a Desktop application (Windows, macOS, Linux) and a Web application. The desktop version includes additional features like an integrated terminal for running commands directly within your Work Items.

Core Concepts

Organizations

An Organization is a top-level container that groups your projects, team members, and billing. Each organization has a unique URL identifier (e.g., my-company).

Projects

A Project represents a single codebase or application. Projects belong to an organization and connect to a Source Folder on your local machine to access your code files.

Work Items

A Work Item is a task or request you submit for AI-assisted code generation. Each Work Item contains your description, selected context files, and the generated output (Artifact).

Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base stores reusable documentation like coding standards, API specifications, and technical references. Attach Knowledge articles to Work Items to help AI generate code that follows your guidelines.

Personalities

Personalities are system prompts that tune AI behavior for specific roles. Use a "Senior Developer" personality for architectural guidance or a "Code Reviewer" personality for critical analysis.
